A Poem to My Best Friends
I would like to thank you for you:
Thank you for your laugh
Thank you for your smile
Thank you for your joy,
Because every drop you offer to me
Is as beautiful as the sounding sea,
and every beam of light you shine
I will gladly call mine,
And every look of mirth we share
shows me you will always be there,
and every, every time you call my name
Is an obstacle we overcame
The World's a High School Final by Maximilian101, literature

The World's a High School Final
In a room with empty strangers,
The world's a high school final:
No one speaks a word
As the seconds on the clock
tick by like an ever-present
colony of ants,
marching one by one
and two by two,
lined up straight in perfect order,
disappearing into an anthill,
never to be seen again-
or, if they are,
never to be recognized,
each individual identical
as the others-
The world's a high school final,
and time is running out,
though at first it seemed
all the time in the world was yours;
the blank sheet before you
never seems to get filled,
even as you scribble away
to the sounds of the tapping
of pencils,
the click-click-c
Heaven is a lie, she knows. It's not pessimism talking, but hard cold facts and reality, the kind almost impossible to refute, like the way a person reasons his proof of existence in the words "I think, therefore I am"(Descartes).
Heaven is a lie, because in heaven you are supposed to be happy, and happiness does not exist. Happiness does not exist, at least for her, because she resides in the dark and that's where she'll always be and there's no such thing that can exist in the dark and everything wilts and turns grey like her soul and- and-
Heaven is a lie. She breathes in the chilly night air, beating down the hurt betrayal in her chest
The Boy in the Corner by Maximilian101, literature

The Boy in the Corner
He curls in the corner of the lit-up room,
watching from the shadows
The women, they laugh, with pearls 'round their necks,
And men in fine suits sip from delicate glasses
Golden chandeliers hang from the ceiling
as society's elite mingle seamlessly
And the boy-
his face is unwashed, his hair unkempt,
but he watches, and he learns
and he sees
So he makes a vow:
Never be like them, the ones within the light,
the ones walking past his corner without a glance,
the ones laughing their polite, gilded laughs,
the ignorant, the ones never knowing
what it was to reside within darkened corners
That vow is kept:
the rest of his days is
The World of My Dreams by Maximilian101, literature
Literature
The World of My Dreams
Out of the grass sprang gentle hands
that carried me over a field of clovers
And I drifted beneath the clouds,
gazing in the idle wonder
that creeps upon men like curling ivy
There was no bluer sky than that day,
and the trees-
there have never been more hearty trees
than the giant oaks towering above me
as the hands carried me further-
And when I awoke in this mysterious land,
I breathed in the scent of moist grass,
relieved to find that it was not just a dream,
and that the world in which I lived
was as beautiful as the world of my dreams
Those Who Wander and Those Who Rest by Maximilian101, literature

Those Who Wander and Those Who Rest
May he who wanders never rest,
And may he who rests never wander,
lest they find what they seek:
Wander not in the light,
but venture in the shade of day,
And rest not in peaceful serenity,
but among the decaying filth
the stains the soul hues of blood;
Only then will the answer be revealed,
And grant you what is sought;
among the dead and the dying,
among the haunting darkness-
So that the wanderer may cease his travels,
And the one who rests his fitful slumber:
And nevermore will they return to the light,
For an object not sought in darkness
Is an object of no good to good men,
both wandering and resting alike
As The Darkness Devours Me Whole by Maximilian101, literature
Literature
As The Darkness Devours Me Whole
Whenever I hear those footsteps,
I pray to God-though he has
long since abandoned the likes of me-
As the devil draws nearer yet,
the bane of all mankind
Hear ye the sound of the angels weeping?
Mourning for all the souls lost?
The darkness encroaches upon human hearts-
and I fear for my vitality-
Against it, who can prevail?
And I pray...
pray...
pray...
Even as the darkness devour me whole
I stood alone on that massive ship,
Surrounded by all my dreams-
As we drifted to the middle of the sea
I took out a tiny match
And let it drop onto the deck;
"If my dreams must burn," said I,
"So must I."
And the whole ship was set ablaze,
Flames shooting towards the sky-
And I-
I perished amongst my dreams,
Surrounded by what I could not achieve
The star fell from the sky
Into my very arms;
"Away with you," said I,
"Return to your siblings above."
I threw him up high,
With all of my might
But he came back down
"No," cried he,
"I want to be human!"
I scoffed and scolded,
"You're perfectly absurd!
You drift peacefully above,
happy as a clam;
Do you not know
Of the pain humans feel?
Who would want to be human?"
Like a child, he huffed and replied,
"I want more than to drift!
Do you not know?
The pain of humans,
their sorrow, disappointment-
Is part of their sweet triumph?
Need I any more reason,
Other than just to be human?"
Hereafter he left,
And I wondered if
